The attention of the Okpe Union EXCO has been drawn to a viral media misinformation about a certain invitation purportedly emanating from the Okpe Union Planning Committee to our esteemed and highly regarded Fathers – AVM FRANK AJOBENA (rtd)a Mr. MOSES AKPOBASAH to the effect that they will speak at 91st anniversary of the Okpe Union which holds on the 16th, May 2021.
Ordinarily, as a reputable and very responsible organization, we would have ignored such baseless media mudslinging as it’s only aim is to distract our well planned Sociocultural Event. Our silence may however be misconstrued to mean giving wings to falsehood and causing embarrassment to our dependable fathers.
For the records, at no time did the Union put out such information as this only exist in the evil minds of some mischief makers. Our Program of Events does not contain any of such. We are equally embarrassed that some people will stoop so low and will stop at nothing to set our highly respectable fathers against the operations of the Union.
We apologize for any embarrassment this false, unprofessional, unprovoked and highly inciting publication may have done to the reputation of our very own Avm Frank Ajobena and Mr. Moses Akpobasah.
Okpe Union Annual General Assembly, General Election and Founder’s day celebration holds as scheduled from 14 – 16th, November, 2021 at No. 65, Moshalashi Street, Obalende, Lagos. All keynote Speakers, Participants and Affiliates look forward to the great Event.
