Resident Doctors Plan Medical Reachout To Orphanages In Delta

The Association of Resident Doctors, FMC Asaba, has planned to reachout to orphanages in Delta State on 19th June, 2021, as part of her 2021 medical exercise christened “The Doctors Reach Out Programme (T-DROP)”.

Announcing the programme’s schedule, the Chairman of the Publicity Committee of ARD, Dr. Alexander Awunor Chidubem said that the group plans to visit Happy Home Orphanage at 15 Lucia Avenue, Okwe by Lucia Group of Schools; Sisters of Our Lady of Apostles Elderly Peoples’ Home at Regina Mundi Asaba; and also, God on Earth Care Orphanage Home at 11 Ikeagwunachim Obimgba Street, near Stella Lawrence Private School, Infant Jesus Road, Asaba.

According to the Chairman, the routine activities of the ARD during this exercise will include; free medical check up, dispensing of drugs, health and career talks, distribution of items, counselling and mentoring.

Speaking further, Dr. Awunor had hinted that T-DROP is proudly supported by Fidelity Fortunes Group of Companies, owners of Fidelity Fortunes and Financial Management Company, Asaba, Delta State.

The Resident Doctors have on annual basis, carried out programmes that directly impact on the lives of selected communities, especially the less privileged ones.

The 2021 exercise will afford the Orphanage Homes the opportunity to benefit from a medical mission that seeks to give them thorough free check ups and treatments, which invariably is aimed at reducing the cost of medical bills and encouraging medical charity within the less privileged communities.
