Stakeholders In Isoko Laud NYSC, State Coordinator For Transformative Service In Delta

Critical stakeholders in Isoko Nation have commended the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC and particularly, the Delta State Coordinator, Mrs. Olutayo Samuel for engaging in services that are geared towards community development, mindset reorientation of young people and healthcare delivery to Deltans across various rural communities.

The commendation was given at the flag off ceremony for the 2021 NYSC Health Initiative for Rural Dwellers, held on Monday 21st June, 2021, at the Isoko Development Union Secretariat at Oleh.

Speaking on behalf of Isoko South local government area, the Council Chairman, Hon. Victor Asasa appreciated the NYSC for the opportunity to become partners in the NYSC-HIRD programme, adding that he would personally supervise the week long medical mission at various communities of the Council area.

Asasa however, appealed for a sustained exercise, confirming he was impressed with the success of the scheme based on what had been made available.

On his part, the Council Chairman for Isoko North local government area, Hon. Dcn. Christian Itiere said that the selflessness of NYSC and its drive for nation building have greatly impacted on the people of Isoko Nation.

Insisting that a healthy people make a healthy world, the chairman said he was pleased that his people would greatly benefit from the NYSC Medical charity which was being brought to his domain.

It was interesting to note that the HIRD programme excited HRM Dr Idiareh Joseph Emasibeta 1, the Odiologbo of Oyede Kingdom in Isoko North, who profusely commended the NYSC for such a wonderful humanitarian health initiative in Isoko Nation.

He remarked that NYSC as an umbrella for unity had indeed brought unity into Nigeria by being the tripod holding the nation together in unison.

He there and then, instructed the IDU Executive to utilise their various organs to sensitize the people on the need to leverage on the opportunity of the NYSC free health programme in the area.

Like Oliver Twist, the monarch appealed for continuity in order to adequately cover Isoko Nation.

However, rather than being thanked, the host, Isoko Development Union’s President General, Prof. Chris Ogagaoghene Akpotu thanked the NYSC immensely for being of impeccable assistance to Isoko Nation in addressing the health needs of her rural dwellers.

The PG said while they were brainstorming on a free health programme for the people of Isoko Nation, the NYSC came to their rescue on a platter of gold.

He affirmed it had been an interesting synergy with the NYSC, adding that the Scheme had indeed showcased itself by ensuring health for all.

Hitting the nail on its head was the immediate past President General of IDU, High Chief Odion Iduh Amadhe who singled out an illustrious son, Engr. Dan Omoyibo for the success of the HIRD programme in IsokoNation.

He commended Engr. Dan Omoyibo for being the reason the programme had to come to Isoko Nation, stressing that the business man not only provided logistics for the seamless drive to host the programme, he also coordinated activities that made the programme a huge success.

While thanking his people for believing in him and responding for the programme to be hosted in Isoko at short notice, Engr. Dan Omoyibo, CEO of DANMOTECH LTD and DANTINAJO GOLD RESORT LTD, commended the NYSC for actualizing the programme in Isoko soil.

He assured that going forward, he would not disappoint NYSC for the honour done him and for the humanity extended to his people through their medical charity.

Moreover, the NYSC DG, Brig. Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim, ably represented by Mrs. Blessing Abu commended the Isoko people for their hospitality, love and solidarity for national unity.

She said she had no doubt that the Scheme is in good hand in Delta, underscoring the overwhelming accolades on the State Coordinator, Mrs. Olutayo Samuel for her outstanding performances.

Abu equally scored the Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa high, insisting she was impressed at what she had seen in terms of physical infrastructure, which she said was evident for all to see.

She assured that there would definitely be good stories to tell about Isoko people and Delta when she returns to Abuja.

Overwhelmed by the succinct eulogies on her person, the State Coordinator, Mrs. Olutayo Samuel appreciated all and sundry for their support.
