Renowned communication strategist and Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Communications, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, JP, has said that majority of those he vehemently defended in the media space in time past disappointed him woefully.
The EACGOV made the disclosure while responding to a question during a live radio phone-in programme monitored in Asaba, on Sunday July 4, 2021, and confirmed that due to lessons learnt, he has decided to jettison unsolicited combative media tactics to peace and development journalism.
“My travails in media politics is mainly traced to dogged multifaceted counter propaganda proficiency in defence of some system political gladiators and those unjustly disparaged.
“I am done with unsolicited interference and altercations over issues not directly linked to me or my boss the governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa.
“I have also decided not to look for what is not looking for me, as a paradigm shift from interfering with ‘their problems’ to the realm of peace and development journalism
“And if I must go out of my way to defend any political gladiator, it must be based on certain understanding between my client(s) and I.
“My client, in this sense, does not include the incumbent governor of Delta State, and our great party, PDP, because unwarranted media attack on them is presumed to be indirect attacks on this adminstration, Oghenesivbe said.
