2023: Majemite, Ofobruku Declares Intention To Contest Delta Governorship *As DC-23 Vows To Continue Consultation Until It Achieved Results

More aspirants under the People’s Democratic Party have declared their Intentions to contest the 2023 governorship election in Delta state to the leadership of the Delta Central 2023 lobby group.

The aspirants, Olorogun Fred Okiemute Majemite, Former Commissioner for Lands and Survey, Delta State and Hon. Efe Ofobruku,  Former House of Assembly member, Uvwie Constituency in their separate speeches promises to improve on the lives of Deltans if voted in to power come 2023.

With these new entrants, the total number of aspirants declared for DC-23 have increased from seven to nine, as Rt. Hon.  Festus Ovie Agas, Chief of Staff Government House, Senator Emmanuel Aguariavwodo, Former NDDC Managing Director, Hon. Chief Ejaife Odebala, Former Delta State House of Assembly member, Olorogun Kenneth Okpara, Former Commissioner for Finance and Economic Planning, Delta State, Olorogun David Edevbie, Immediate past Chief of Staff, Government House, Chief James Augoye, Former Commissioner for Works, Delta State and Chief Abel Esievo, Former Auditor-General, Local Government.

Earlier, Chief Ighoyota Amori, National Chairman of DC-23, assured members that the group will continue with its lobby/consultation untill it achieve the desired result.

He stated that for the group to have taken its consultation to parts of the state without rancour, was a plus and urged members to maintained the tempo as there would be joy at the end of the struggle.

Olorogun Bernard Edewor, Deputy Chairman, Board of Trustees and Olorogun Arthur Akpowowo, National Publicity Secretary in their related remarks, commended Chief Ighoyota Amori for his commitment in mobilizing the people of Delta Central to secure the 2023 governorship seat.

They stated further that with the level of consultation carried out so far, 2023 governorship victory is becoming more clearer as more persons are already keying into the zoning arrangement on senatorial districts order.

They advised aspirants who have shown interest for the governorship to know that only one person among them will emerged governor of Delta state, as such should listen to the voice of reasoning before the primary election.

They reiterated that since all of them cannot be in the position same time, whoever that emerged should be magnanimous in victory.
