Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Communications and Convener of Coalition For Media Politics, CMP, Chief Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, JP, has mourned the sudden death of popular Delta born Nollywood veteran actress Rachael Oniga.
In condolence message obtained from a verified Facebook page of Dr. Oghenesivbe, said the renowned movie star who hailed from Eku Community in Agbon Kingdom, Ethiope East Local Government Area, Delta State reportedly died in the early hours of Saturday July 31, 2021 at the age of 64 years.
According to Dr. Oghenesivbe who is also Agbon Chief said “Oniga was a household name, doing what she knows how to do best, acting.
He noted that late Rachel was a tube goddess and a beautiful damsel who played significant roles in the buildup for Nollywood as the national film industry’s trade mark.
The governor’s EAC who described the deceased as an illustrious daughter of Urhobo nation of Delta Central Senatorial District, born in Lagos will be greatly missed by movie lovers and Deltans.
