The Delta State Governor, Senator Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa will on Friday, 6th of August, 2021 commission road projects in Sapele, Sapele Local Government Area of the state as part of his pledge to provide good roads to Deltans..
Roads enmarked for the Governor’s inauguration include Laboard road linking Commercial Avenue and Reclamation road, Omene road linking Crudas road, and Lawrence road that has practically open up the timber town and other projects within the local government area.
The previously Laboard road stretching to the Sapele Market, rehabilitated by the Delta State Government is said to have brought life back to the area which was becoming desolate because of the sorry nature of the road before the advent of Governor Okowa.
A source told Sapele Mirror Newspaper Journalist that the Governor’s visit was part of his plan to see first hand projects he tagged as people oriented. “The governor would have sat back but he is coming to commission these projects himself, so as to see the road and other projects on completion.
The Governor is expected to be accompanied on the visit by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, State Party Chairman, Barr Kingsley Esiso, Chairman of the local government Chief Eugene Inoaghan, Special Project Director Of Asaba International Airport Hon Austine Ayemidejor, Hon Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources Chief Julius Egbedi, Member Representing Sapele Constituency at the Delta State House Of Assembly Chief Felix Anirah, MD/CEO Richards Continental Hotels Mr Richard Randy Okotie, Councilors of the various wards and a host of other dignitaries.
