The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Delta state Chapter has met with her Life Patron HRM Richard Oghenevwogaga Ebelle, Okorefe I JP, the Ovie of Agbarha-Otor Kingdom, to brief him on the programs of the council and further seek his advise on the way to go about same.
The delegation which was led by the state Chairman, Comr. Kenneth Okorie noted that the reason for the visit was to seek knowledge and guidance from a Life Patron whose experience in leadership had become a study guide among leaders across the Nation. He stated that leadership prowess of HRM Richard Oghenevwogaga Ebelle had made it impossible for the council to do a program without his input.
Briefing His Royal Majesty of the program itinerary of the council, the Program Officer, Comr. Omorojie Lucky stated that the councils line up of activities were drawn from the need of youths in the society and also the need of the society from the youths. He noted that the council was out to be a torchbearer and also to reorient the youths of the state.
In his response, HRM Richard Oghenevwogaga Ebelle thanked the Council for acknowledging him by bestowing upon him the Life Patronship of the Council, he promised not to fail in his discharge of all duties. He reminded the Council that being a youth at heart, he has always had the interest of all young Deltans, not only those of his Kingdom, at heart.
He noted that he had observed keenly the activities of the council and he is proud to be associated with the States youth council. He further requested to be given a hard copy of the time line of all future activities for his input.
The council while observing a minute silence commisserated with the Agbarha-Otor Kingdom over the loss of one of hers, Prof Sunny Akpotor.
