Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission, NCPC, Rev Yakubu Pam, has described the governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, as an iconic leader and a committed humanist with a heart of gold.
He made the assertion in Jordan, Thursday, while addressing Buses 4/5 members led by Archbishop Jonathan Arhavwarien at the Grand Palace Hotel, in Amman, Jordan.
For effective coordination and close monitoring of Pilgrims, the State Pilgrims Board chaired by Archbishop Cyril Odutemu, created the Bus units based on hotel arrangements and also appointed monitors to assist the cell leader.
Rev Pam, said NCPC recognises the inestimable commitments and enviable contributions of governor Okowa, and Delta State Government in the spiritual revival of Deltans, as well as special love and unwavering interests in working with NCPC and the state Pilgrims Board in the actualisation of the assigned tasks of the commission.
The NCPC national Executive Secretary, further posited that it was heartwarming to hear of the positive steps taken by Okowa, to ensure that the 77 pilgrims left behind in Nigeria, due to late arrival of Covid-19 test results arrive Jordan, anytime soon.
Pam, noted that anybody, Corporate organisation or government that partners with God, will always be blessed and favoured, saying that there is great gain in putting God first in whatever we do. God own us and our resources.
He appealed to Delta State pilgrims to be of good conduct, and be spiritually alert so as to return home with uncommon testimonies, saying that pilgrimage is a spiritual cleansing exercise, and to seek the face of God, over issues and problems that had defiled all known solutions.
“Delta State under governor Okowa, is waxing strong in all ramifications, as well as in spiritual revival of the people.
“It is common knowledge that governor Okowa, has demonstrated unalloyed commitments to the body of Christ generally and I dare to say that he is an iconic spirit filled leader.
“As we speak, Okowa is working round the clock to ensure that the 77 Pilgrims that were left behind in Nigeria, due to late arrival of Covid-19 tests arrive Jordan, between tomorrow and Sunday. This is awesome and it is our fervent prayers at NCPC for God, to enlarge his coast.
“I urge you to observe Covid-19 protocol; washing of hands with soap and running water, sanitise your hands regularly and observe social distancing.
“Pilgrimage is a spiritual revival retreat wherein we seek the face of God, concerning stubborn problems and other issues that had defiled human efforts.
“The intensity of your prayers will ultimately determine the weight of your uncommon testimonies, breakthroughs and increased anointing for positive exploits in life.
“We must strive hard to be good ambassadors of Nigeria, and your State, Delta,” Pam said.
