A set of triplet recently delivered at the Orerokpe general hospital in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State are currently on danger list of death, parents said.
Mr Best Godwin Asaba, father of the triplets who disclosed this to Journalists said the triplets who were delivered few days ago were said to be too small and needed incubator to further develop them.
The father who narrated their ordeals to newsmen at Oviri-Okpe Community, their country home said after their delivery, they were rejected by the Orerokpe General Hospital that delivered them and were promptly referred to Eku Baptist Hospital to be placed on incubators.
He explained further that on getting there, the management of Eku Baptist Hospital referred them to Central Hospital Warri and at Central Hospital Warri, they were purportedly referred due to lack of space.
Consequently, the father of the triplets said as confused as they were, decided to take the babies to a private hospital where they were asked to pay the huge sum of #150,000 before attending to them.
The couple who were further confused for lack of money to pay the whooping deposit later decided to take their babies home.
At the time of filling this report, the triplets are on danger list of death except something urgent is done.
While lamenting the deplorable financial status of the family, they appealed to the Delta State Government, Corporate bodies, politicians, churches, Non Governmental Organizations, and well meaning individuals to come to their rescue and save the lives of their children.
