Catholic Priest, Rev Fr Emmanuel Obadjere, has urged Christians, political leaders and those in positions of authority to emulate the unique humility of Jesus, and to always led by example.

Rev Obadjere, said humility being one of the special virtues of Jesus, has the power to attract quality people to us, and also facilitate favour cum genuine greatness, adding that Jesus was humble to a fault, and as such those who accepted Him as Lord and Savour must of a necessities be humble.
The clergy who is the parish priest of St Joseph Catholic Church, Okpare, Olomu in Delta State, listed other essential virtues to include: honesty, giving, patience, long suffering while waiting on the Lord, self esteem, contentment and hardwork.
Obadjere, appealed to those in authority or privileged positions to use government and community resources to develop their jurisdictions and improve the wellbeing of the people, saying that a humble and honest leader will never steal public funds, rather he or she will always use available resources to better the living conditions of the people.
“Christ our Lord, expects us to exhibit good virtues, and Christians are to set examples for others to emulate, just as Christ did for the Church.
“There will be no disconnect between the leaders and the led if those in authority embrace Christ’s model of honesty, service to humanity, self discipline and humility.
“It is very important for us to have a change of heart as we gather here in the holy land of Jordan for spiritual retreat and revival.
“Our attitudes must reflect our new spiritual status, having come thus far to seek the face of God. We must do the needful to justify government’s investments in our spiritual wellbeing.
“Our governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, is God’s vessel at this time in our state, a man Christ is using to impact our lives and the state.
“This is why we must continue to pray for the greatness of Delta State, the governor, his Deputy, Mr Speaker, our leaders and Deltans while in Jordan and thereafter,” Rev Obadjere said.
Archbishop Jonathan Arhawarien and Rev Daniel Ebikems led the groups in series of targeted prayers, before boarding buses to commence the day’s spiritual activities in the holy land of Jordan.
