“Christ our Lord, expects us to exhibit good virtues, and Christians are to set examples for others to emulate, just as Christ did for the Church.

“There will be no disconnect between the leaders and the led if those in authority embrace Christ’s model of honesty, service to humanity, self discipline and humility.

“It is very important for us to have a change of heart as we gather here in the holy land of Jordan for spiritual retreat and revival.

“Our attitudes must reflect our new spiritual status, having come thus far to seek the face of God. We must do the needful to justify government’s investments in our spiritual wellbeing.

“Our governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, is God’s vessel at this time in our state, a man Christ is using to impact our lives and the state.

“This is why we must continue to pray for the greatness of Delta State, the governor, his Deputy, Mr Speaker, our leaders and Deltans while in Jordan and thereafter,” Rev Obadjere said.
