Executive Assistant to Delta State Governor on Communications, Olorogun Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe Esq, has said that the final political funeral ceremony of the Delta State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, will take place immediately after the governorship election in 2023.
The Eacgov made the prediction in a radio interview monitored in Asaba, on Monday 11th October, wherein he stated that the gale of defections that is now purging APC in the state, was as a result of the uncommon socioeconomic transformation and unprecedented infrastructure development so far recorded within five years of Okowa administration and still counting.
Another reason advanced by Oghenesivbe, for the political tsunami rocking the major opposition party in the state, was that of poor performance by the APC national government at the federal level, as well as, inability of the Buhari led administration to fulfill electioneering campaign promises made in 2015 and 2019 respectively.
He further asserted that Nigerians experienced and still experiencing the worse kind of national government under President Buhari, which according to him, is a truism traced to lack of visionary leadership and political will power to deploy superior airpower and ground troops to solve the escalating rate of insecurity in the country
Okowa’s EAC posited that the quack team of economic managers assembled by President Buhari and the Buharists on the basis of paddy-paddy, without recourse to federal character in the distribution of federal appointments, gave rise to mediocrity and gross incompetence in service delivery to Nigerians.
“Majority of Delta APC leaders parading themselves as political juggernauts are in the true sense of it paperweight politicians, and as the saying goes – one eye man is king in the community of blind people.
“PDP will finally nail the political coffin of APC in 2023, and the reasons are not far fetched, some have been well articulated and explained in this interview. APC party have been rejected and abandoned by Nigerians.
“2023 shall be the most horrible election year for the APC, as a result of bad governance that is negatively influenced by unethical considerations and unpatriotic leadership mindset, to the detriment of majority of Nigerians.
“The obvious mismanagement of the nation’s economy is further worsened by huge loans obtained by the Buhari led federal government, prompting rising profile of monumental domestic and foreign debts incurred, even though trillions of Naira were alleged to have been recovered from looters and internal enemies of Nigeria.
“In Delta state, Okowa performance7 had further worsened APC predicament as the Buhari led federal government failed woefully to execute any meaningful projects in the state and South’South geopolitical zone.
“One thing is sure, and that is that APC Delta under the leadership of DSP Omo-Agege, shall witness the worst electioneering defeat in 2023 governorship election, and it will finally nail the party’s political coffin in the state,” Oghenesivbe assured.
