Okpe Youth Council Worldwide (OYC), an Apex youth organization in Okpe kingdom, Delta State Nigeria has launched a campaign for Okpe Governorship candidate to succeed the incumbent Governor, Doctor Ifeanyi Okowa come May 29th, 2023.
The group in a meeting held at Orerokpe, the ancestral home of the Okpe nation, unveiled the campaign.

Address by the National president of Okpe youth Council worldwide, Comr Israel Ejiro Otomewo.
Let me say that it is a great joy and satisfaction for me to meet you all again at this important gathering, taken place here in the exhilarating environment of the ancestral home of the Okpe people.
On behalf of myself, the national executive and all members of Okpe youth Council worldwide, I wish to express my sincere appreciation to the Okpe Monarch. His Majesty ‘Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, Major General Felix Mujakperuo (Rtd) CFR, Mni, Orhue 1, Orodje of Okpe Kingdom.
The Okpe youth Council is the umbrella body of Okpe youth both home and in the diaspora, We have carefully carried out our findings on the rotation/Zoning of the position of governorship in Delta State, and we have come to the conclusion that two out of the three federal constituencies in Delta central have had a taste of the governorship, except for the Okpe, Sapele and Uwie federal constituency which the Okpe kingdom is part of and also the largest.
However we are strongly appealing to the leadership of various political parties in Delta State, Stakeholders of the state and other ethnic Nationalities, All friends of Okpe Kingdom, both in diaspora to please join us in supporting an Okpe son as Governor come 2023.
Let it be on note, that Okpe youth Council is not lobbying or campaigning for a particular aspirant or party, but to ensure that the Governorship seat move to Okpe Kingdom come 2023 for the sake of equity and fairness.
It is on this note , that we are strongly appealing to other ethnic Nationals to please rally round us to give us the necessary support to produce the next Governor of Delta State come 2023.
I am confident that the Okpe Governor will usher in a new orientation and also consolidate on the foundation of the Okowa lead administration to an enviable height come 2023 by the special grace of God.
We owe God Almighty much gratitude for His endless guidance and protection, let us continue to pray to God to grant us the wisdom in the management of the affairs of the country and Delta State particular.
Once again I thank you all for your readiness to fly the Okpe governorship flag high ahead of the 2023 general election.
