The Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Ochor Christopher Ochor has called for sustained support of Deltans to the People’s Democratic Party, PDP led administration in the state.
Rt Hon Ochor who made the call in Asaba when he played host to a delegation of PDP faithfuls from Umutu community in Ukwuani local government area, assured of the commitment of the party towards a greater state in the comity of states in Nigeria.
The Deputy Speaker said the developmental strides of Dr Ifeanyi Okowa’s led government in the state has been tremendous, stating that the administration will continue to make positive impact on the lives of the people.
Rt Hon Ochor who represents Ukwuani Constituency in the House, explained that communities in Ukwuani local government have also benefited immensely on the infrastructure and human capital development by the state government.
He said the people of Umutu community could count their blessings, as the present administration had not only constructed roads and drainages in the locality but had embarked on other people’s oriented projects, including skill acquisition centers, markets, Customary Court and library.
The Deputy Speaker solicited for continued support and prayers for the party for more dividends of democracy in the state, saying that the administration is committed to its Stronger Delta mantra as well as determined to finish strong.
Ochor expressed appreciation to party leaders in the constituency for their selfless service and determination to ensuring that PDP is deeply rooted in Ukwuani local government area.
He regretted the little set back experienced by the party during the last local government council election in the area and expressed joy that the issue was amicably resolved and the PDP candidate, Mr Eze Dike sworn-in as the Counselor to represent DSIEC ward 17 in the local government council.
The Deputy Speaker paid glowing tributes to the state governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa for his support and understanding and the leadership of the party in the state for their various roles in the peaceful resolution of the issue.
Ochor however emphasized the need for stakeholders in Umutu to close ranks and adopt better approach in handling the affairs of the party in the area to avoid future reoccurrence of the sad development.
The Deputy Speaker restated his commitment to progress and growth of the people of Ndokwa nation and appealed for needed cooperation.

Leaders of the delegation, including Ogbueshi Paul Emishiri, Pastor Monday Ossai and Chief Anthony Nwachukwu, lauded the state governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa for his humane nature and unparalleled leadership skills in carrying every community along in terms of infrastructural development.
They said they were on thank you visit to the Deputy Speaker for his quality representation of the Ukwuani people and appreciated his efforts in standing behind the Counselor for ward 17, Eze Edike to emerged victorious in the 24th August 2021 re- run election in the ward.
The Chairman of the party in Ukwuani local government area, Engr Patrick Kaine, who made a brief appearance during the solidarity visit, commended the leadership style of Rt Hon Ochor and for being a worthy ambassador of the Ndokwa nation.
He described the thank you visit to the Deputy Speaker by the people of Umutu as commendable and charged the delegation to continue to mobilize support for PDP.
