As the 2023 general elections draw closer, the Alliance Against Vote Buying and Bad Leadership in Nigeria AAVBBLN, has urged Nigerians to join hands with the movements to enthrone credible leadership across the the three tiers of governments in the country.
The National Convener of AAVBBLN, Amb. Oke Idawene in a statement said, only good governance will put an end to unemployment, insecurity and challenges confronting the nation.
He pointed out that Nigeria is lacking on credible leadership at all levels hence the challenges bedevilling it, noting that AAVBBLN, a non-profit organisation, was formed to change the narrative.
He stated that the body shall mobilize eligible voters, foreign Observers, partner with INEC to ensure that there is an end to Vote Buying and Bad Leadership in Nigeria.
“Nigerians must wake up to join this movement now. The ENDSARS protest is not our problem. Bad Leadership is the root. The process that we use in elections that produce our leaders once it is relatively transparent and the people’s choices emerges then we have solved Nigeria’s problem 80 percent.
“To this end, AAVBBLN has come to stay. We shall have representations at all elections in the country in all polling units.”
Continuing; “If You love Nigeria and you really want the change, good reforms the ENDSARS is not the answer use that energy against votes buying and the narrative will change.” Idawene reiterated.
