Agbarho Kingdom Celebrates Bi-Annual Ibi Festival

Agbarho Kingdom in Ughelli North LGA will be agog with celebration this weekend as it celebrates the bi-annual Ibi Festival.

A statement signed by the Chairman of the 2021 Agbarho Ibi Festival, Chief William Enyoyi and Secretary, Comrade Blessing Ovwata says the which will begin on Saturday 6th of November 2021 will climax on Friday 12th of November 2021.

It further says the festival will begin on Saturday at 7am with the Ibi Day Celebration.

It adds that, the next day Ekerhavwe and Oguname Communities will dance to the community Town Hall while on Monday will be the turn of Oko-Erhavwe and Okan-Ikwheghwu communities.

Ohrerhe and Ikweghwu Communities will take their turn on Tuesday, Orhokpokpo and Ophori on Wednesday and Ughrughelli and Oghara will round it up on Thursday.

On Friday 12th November will be the grand finale of the festival at the Agbarho Urhobo Improvement Union Town Hall

It called on sons and daughters as well as friends of Agbarho Kingdom both at home and diaspora to attend the ceremony.

Agbarho Ibi Festival is a bi-anual festival held to celebrate the peace, unity and Progress of Agbarho Kingdom.

    And even if it was, Unlike the previous festivals it was quiet and solemn.
