Sapele Council Boss Inoaghan Donates Baby Things, Food Stuffs, Others Worth N100,000 To 17 Years Old Mother Of Twin Abandoned In The Hospital After Giving Birth

In a bid to give succour to the needy in the society, the Executive Chairman of Sapele local government area, Hon. Eugene Inoaghan on Monday November 15th, 2021 donated baby things and food stuffs worth N100,000 naira to the 17 years old girl who gave birth to twin boys and was abandoned by both her family and the boy’s family.

Eugene Inoaghan who was ably represented by his Personal Assistant on Media and Public Relations and advocate for female empowerment and Girl’s Child Education, Queen Stephanie Ikanone Odiete and Lady Vivian Umukoro, from the office of the Girl’s Child Education, Sapele local government area presented the items to the mother of the twin Miss Weyinmi Samson.

Queen Stephanie Ikanone Odiete who spoke during the presentation ceremony said that the benevolence of the Sapele Council boss was borne out of sympathy and humanity for the twin. Adding that Chief Eugene Inoaghan had earlier visited the twin babies and their mother in the hospital with the intention of offsetting the medical bills, before a good Samaritan, who prefers to remain anonymous cleared the bills.

Speaking further, Stephanie said that the Chairman on learning that the twin and their mother have been discharged to a neighbor’s house decided to support the woman who was housing the twin and their mother with some food stuffs and other essential items, that also included some amount of money.

Queen Stephanie however expressed her displeasure over the conduct of the young man, Divine who was responsible for impregnating the teenage Weyimi for refusing to come out and take the responsibility of providing food and shelter for the young girl and their two sons.

“How long can the neighbor accommodate this young girl and her twin babies in her one room apartment before she looses her patience and throws them out on the street. Things are very expensive nowadays and with the current economy in Nigeria, it is not easy for a woman who lives in a one room apartment with her children to accommodate a young girl with two children”, Queen Stephanie said.

She however called on well meaning Nigerians to assist the woman who was housing the girl and her twin with food stuffs to reduce the burden on the woman who has shown uncommon generosity for the sake of humanity.
