A Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party in Delta State Chief Ochuko Johnbull Sakpaide (JP) has congratulated Speaker of the state House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori on his conferment with the Lawmaker-Of-The-Year Award by the Independent Nigerian Parliamentary Excellence Awards.
The award which was organised by the Daily Independent Newspapers Limited in association with African Consolidated Analytical Limited (ACAL), was presented to the Speaker on Wednesday in the admiration of family members, friends and well wishers at Sheraton Hotel, Abuja.
In a good will message by Chief Sakpaide made available to newsmen described the award as recognition of excellent leadership prowess of the Speaker towards service to humanity and national development.
He described Mr. Speaker as a humble, reliable and dependable political leader whose team player which a true reflection of his enviable performance and achievements as the head of the state Parliament in the current 7th Assembly earned him this prestigious reward.
Chief Sakpaide appealed to other lawmakers across the country to emulate the leadership prowess, service to humanity and national development drive of the Speaker just as he prayed God for more wisdom for him to journey towards a better society.
