Ighrakpata Predicts More Awards for Delta Speaker Oborevwori.

Deputy Chief Whip of the Delta State Assembly, Hon (Chief) Solomon Ighrakpata has predicted more honors and awards to the Speaker of the House, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.

Hon Ighrakpata who represents Uvwie Constituency in the State Legislature, said his prediction was based on the sterling leadership qualities and commitment to good governance by the Speaker.

Reacting to the “Lawmaker of the Year” award to Rt Hon Oborevwori by the Independent Newspaper, Ighrakpata described the honour as well merited, saying “nothing less was expected for a man who had made so much progress in the legislative assignment given to him by the people of Okpe”.

Ighrakpata stated “having been working closely with the Speaker as the Deputy Chief Whip of the House and Chairman, Committee on Special Duties, I can tell you that this recent award by Independent Newspaper was well merited”.

“Mr Speaker is not just hardworking, diligent and focused, his commitment to good leadership, development of the society and uplifting others, were commendable. And you see, when you are doing all these things, you will think people are not observing. I tell you they do and the result is this kind of recognition. And I know more will come”, Ighrakpata stated.

The Lawmaker maintained that it was gratifying to be among many Nigerians that witnessed the epoch making event in Abuja, stressing that the award was a challenge to others to strive for excellence at all times.

Hon Ighrakpata on behalf of his family, and constituents join millions of people across the globe to congratulate the Speaker, Rt Hon Oborevwori who is National Deputy Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria and prayed God to grant him the grace as he face challenges ahead as a leader both at community, state and national levels.
