As the Delta State 2023 governorship poll drawn nearer with various aspirants jettling for the number one political position in the state, a grassroot politician has appealed to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to ced its governorship ticket to the immediate past commissioner For works and Frontline 2023 governorship hopeful Hon. Chief James Augoye for the gubernatorial election for strategic reasons.
Mr. Justice Akpowowho Azu who disclosed this to newsmen recently in Jeddo, Okpe Local government area of the state at a one day prayer session organized by Jeddo Political Forum in honour of Chief James Augoye 2023 explained that Augoye’s qualities fulfilled the full requirements desired of a Governor in Delta State.
“Strategically, for PDP to sustain it’s landslide victory across the twenty-five local government areas of the state, and this can only be done if we give Chief Augoye the ticket. This is not because other aspiratants are not qualified but he is the best candidate, and for strategic reason of winning the election overwhelmingly we must entrust him with the ticket.
Mr. Azu noted that Augoye’s Political resume who reads higher than other aspiratants since he expressed interest in the position has remained a man of the people,a detribalised Deltan, figure loved by the people of all senatorial districts, religions and tribes across the state.
Being a non-tribalistic personality, Hon. Chief James Augoye is who the cap fits. No wonder many people call him “Epitome of Humility and symbol of Unity”. Deltans have seen his prudence, patriotism, and selfless service to all and sundry. The 21st Century is for the youth not only in technology but governance. And Chief Augoye represents what we call 21st Century youth in all ramification.”
Mr. Azu, a renowned Political analyst and Thespian said the entertainment industry will continue to support and propagate the ideals of Augoye, adding that the entire youths of the state are solidly behind his candidacy come 2023.
He said, “Hon. Chief James Augoye is the only one who will provide purposeful leadership and good governance if elected as Governor in the 2023 gubernatorial race.
“I have painstakingly searched the length and breadth of Delta state and found that Augoye, a young man who has given all especially the youth the platform to be the drivers in their own affairs, will perform well if elected into the exalted office.”
