The immediate past Commissioner for Works of Delta State and 2023 governorship hopeful, Chief James Augoye has said industrialization will give Nigeria a comparative advantage in shaping the dangling economic situation of Nigeria.
Chief James Augoye stated this while delivering a lecture on the topic: “A Nation in Search of Direction: Political and Economic Imperatives” organized by the Catholic Diocese of Warri Justice and Development and Peace Commission.
Augoye stated that for Nigeria to come out of the current economic climate, industrialization and agriculture must be given a top priority.
Chief Augoye also harped on developing other critical sector of the economy such as education, reform of our electoral system, resource control among others.
He charged the the federal government to do more as the nation, quoting former President Olusegun Obasanjo, is fast drifting to a failed state in terms of insecurity and poor economic index.
The guest lecturer, Chief James Augoye gave some insightful solutions to Nigeria political development, which includes resource control and devolution of more powers to the federating units.
