Okowa Legacies: Delta Is Far Better Than What It Was In 2015 – Eacgov Oghenesivbe. …Eacgov Received 10 Awards in Five Years, Advises Opposition Parties, Detractors To Partner With Okowa Administration.

Executive Assistant to Delta State Governor on Communications, Eacgov, and Chairman, Coalition for Media Politics And Governance, CMPG, Chief Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, JP, has said that Delta is far better than what it was when the incumbent Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, assumed office in 2015.

He made the assertion while speaking to newsmen after receiving the prestigious Rotary Club of Asaba Central “Distinguished Service Award” on Tuesday December 7, at Orchid Hotel in Asaba, saying that Okowa’s master plan for the state as encapsulated in the SMART and Stronger Delta Agendas have been and still being tenaciously executed, not withstanding the inconsistent and sometimes low funds from federal allocations and internally generated revenues.

The Rotary Distinguished Award is the 10th Award received by the renowned political communication strategist and media manager, since he was appointed EA Communications by Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, on April 2017 and still counting.

Oghenesivbe said the socioeconomic and infrastructure transformation currently adoning the entire state has been traced to a deliberate effort of a man of great vision, in the person of Governor Okowa, determined to change the narrative in governance for the benefit of Deltans.

The distinguished service award winner urged the opposition political parties and detractors to do away with politics of “bad belle” and to humbly join efforts with Okowa administration in the ongoing progressive implementation of the Stronger Delta Agenda.

“Delta State is today far better than it was in 2015, when Okowa took over the mantle of leadership as governor.

“The Governor’s detractors are merely playing politics of envy and bad belle, but deep down their God given consciences they know that Delta under Okowa is in the fast lane of development and socioeconomic transformation for the benefit of the people.

“I urge Okowa’s detractors, unjustified haters and those playing bad belle politics for no just cause, to repent and join hands with the governor and his team to continue to provide quality dividends of democracy to the people, while commending past governors for laying solid foundation which Okowa painstakingly and tenaciously modified, reinvigorated and surpassed.

“Majority of Deltans are daily urging governor Okowa to ensure that his successor is a core humanist, a God fearing individual, a practical christian who abhors corruption of all shapes and sizes, an individual that will prudently manage the state treasury and protect it from criminal financial gangsterism and primitive looting” Oghenesivbe added.

Earlier, President and Board of Rotary Club of Asaba, Rotarian Onome Iyaruwe, said that Okowa’s Eac, Oghenesivbe deserved the award, judging from his track record as a patriotic public servant dedicated to his assigned responsibility since he assumed office as pioneer Executive Communication Aide to Governor Okowa, and urged him to maintain the steam, the mesmerising political communication strategy that had placed him far above his peers in the media space.

“Barrister Latimore is a unique brand in political communication and we found out in Rotary Club of Asaba Central, that his creativity and skills in crafting articles and stories has been awesome, exclusive, original and personalised.

“He is an icon in political communication and media strategy, spanning over two decades of consistency and tenancy, which was why the Board decided to bestow on him the ” Distinguished Service Award, “Onome said.

The Award was presented to Oghenesivbe by the District Secretary of Rotary International District 9141, comprising; Delta, Edo, Bayelsa and Rivers States.

Eacgovdelta Oghenesivbe was accompanied to the Award ceremony by the Governor’s SSAs on Media and Political Matters, Hon Nelson Egaware, fcism, and Rotarian Dr Hope George, as well as the Coordinator of Coalition for Media Politics and Governance, CMPG, Warri South LGA, Ambassador Harold Blankson and others.
