As Personnel of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC) Delta State command joined Christians all over the world to mark the birth of Jesus Christ with the celebration of Christmas, State commandant of the corps Mr. Akinsanya Iskilu Abiodun has felicitated with all men and officers of the command for their gallantry efforts and sacrifices in defending the defenseless and other critical operations across the State in the year 2021.
The commandant’s Christmas and new year message contained in a statement by the Command Public Relations Officer Mr. Emeka Peters, on Friday in Asaba, urged the personnel to maintain the tempo, as it gathers more momentum and remain steadfast, professionally and responsively carrying out their constitutional roles and mandates.
While congratulating them for their bravery, doggedness and loyalty to duty, the commandant said that the command would continue to ensure that personnel welfare, reward, award, motivation and that of their families, remain utmost priority.
Mr. Abiodun however reassured them of the Federal Government’s commitment to providing the Corps with the requisite support for them to perform their duties effectively.
“The President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR and the Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD mni, pledged their total support to the Corps at all levels for the enthronement of security and peace across Nigeria.
This festive season heralds peace as well as a time for merriment, sober reflection and introspection. I enjoin us all to continue to pray to the Almighty God for the repose of the souls of our fallen comrades and the wellbeing of their families of our brave fallen heroes in the course of defending their mother land.
The state NSCDC boss who wished all Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year also commended all for the good job done in 2021 even as he look forward towards making greater progress in 2022.

It is with utmost humility and gratitude to the Almighty God that I send this goodwill message to officers, men and indeed the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence family on the Christmas and New Year Celebrations. Let me use this opportunity to commend the gallantry efforts and sacrifices of our gallant officers and men currently engaged in defending the defenseless and other critical, tactical and kinetic operations across Delta State, Nigeria and abroad.
