The Delta State House of Assembly has commiserated with the Member Representing Sapele Constituency in the House, Hon (Chief) Felix Anirah over the death of his mother, Madam Clara Anirah.
The Majority Leader of the House and Chairman, House Committee on Information, Hon (Chief) Ferguson Onwo, in a statement, expressed sadness over the demise of the matriarch of the Anirah family who passed on at the age of 95.
Hon Onwo, who represents Isoko South 2 constituency in the House, explained that no matter the age, the loss of a dear person was always painful, particularly such a mother that was very closed to the children.
He however enjoined Hon Anirah and all the siblings of the late nonagenarian to take solace that their mother lived a life of fulfillment and died at a ripe age of 95.
Onwo prayed God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss and the soul of the late Clara Anirah and souls of other departed eternal rest.
Meanwhile the Majority Leader and Chairman, House Committee on Information, Delta State House of Assembly, Hon (Chief) Ferguson Onwo, has prayed for quick recovery of the Member Representing Ughelli South Constituency, Hon Reuben Izeze who was shot at by yet to be identified gun men few days to Christmas.
Onwo who regretted the pains the sad development had caused the member, the immediate family, the people of Ughelli South and the entire Legislature, said there shall be no more loss in the State House of Assembly.
He expressed gratitude to God for saving the life of Hon Izeze and stressed the need for law enforcement agencies to unravel those behind the ugly incident.
The Lawmaker emphasized that proper investigation into the matter was key to forestalling future reoccurrence of similar incident.
The Majority Leader while wishing Deltans a prosperous new year, restated that 2022 fiscal year promises to be great and urged the people to remain focused and supportive to the Okowa’s led government in the state.
