Recently, Amuokpokpor-Elume Community in Sapele local government area of Delta State was agog with high profile personalities across the globe to bid Late Mama Alice Idolor Neel “Ejafor” farewell to the great beyond.
Late Mama Alice who was interred at her abodeat edifice built by her first son Mr. Julius Idolor amidst encomiums from family members, friends and well wishers, appreciated him for giving their matriarch a befitting burial rites
Councillor Representing Ward 18 in the area Hon. Samuel Azu who eulogised mama Alice said she lived a life of great accomplishments, especially in bringing up her children in the way of the Lord.
Azu said: “At 85, she brought up worthy children and I am glad to be part of this ceremony for the celebration of life and thanksgiving for a great mother who went through a lot in keeping her family together having lost her husband some years ago.
Speaking on behalf of Mama’s Children, Mr. Julius Idolor thanked all dignitaries for attending his mother’s burial ceremony, pointing out that his mother’s teachings made him whom he is today.
According to him, “despite the short invitation, I was marveled at the mammoth crowd that stormed the burial ceremony of my mother. This was a pointer of whom my late mother was.
Continuing, “My late mother was everything to me, she was my adviser and mentor and I will miss that mother’s advice and prayers”.
Also speaking on behalf of the family, Mr. Samson Eninobor who described late Mama Alice as a bridge builder, epitome of humility, wisdom, philanthropist among others, said the vacuum created by her demise in the family can’t be refilled.
He however consoled members of the family, friends and well wishers that their matriarch is worth emulating. She was perfect to a fault. He concluded
