Delta State Assistant Woman Leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Hon Chief (Mrs.) Dora Afonughe Sakpaide (JP) has joined the league of felicitators to congratulate His Royal Majesty, Orhue 1, the Orodje of Okpe kingdom, on his appointment by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as Chairman, Delta State Traditional Rulers Council.
In a congratulatory message personally signed by Chief Sakpaide, made available to Journalists at her country home, Jeddo, in OKpe local government area of the state, described the appointment as welcome development to Okpe kingdom and Urhobo nation in general.
She said, the Orodje with his vast knowledge and experience in the traditional institution and governance, it’s another opportunity for him to contribute to the growth and development of the council, Delta State, Nigeria and beyond.
According to Chief Sakpaide, the Orodje was the immediate past first vice chairman of the Efeizomor-led council, and his elevation was a clear testament of his leadership prowess in council.
She said His Royal Majesty resume Speaks so much volume of his contributions to nation building. “I am persuaded and convinced that his appointment was divine and well- deserved especially now that the state is heading towards another general elections. Because their roles as traditional rulers, is to provide advisory roles to government”.
Hon Chief (Mrs.) Dora Afonughe Sakpaide (JP) who is not just a chief from Okpe kingdom also a daughter of the kingdom, commended the state Governor Doctor Ifeanyi Okowa for approving His Royal Majesty Appointment as Chairman, traditional rulers council.
