The agility, doggedness and roggedity of the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Abubakar Audi Ahmed PhD (mni) in the fight against crime and criminality calls for commendation and Recognition. In his new year message , the CG Charged officers and men of the Corps including the State Commandants to be ruthless to criminals. This development rejuvenated the State Commandants to rekindled the morale of the officers and men which yielded the harvests of arrests made so far in the State Commandant.
The Command with in the last six (6) months under the Commandant Akinsanya Abiodun led Administration has generated about # 15million to the Federal Government through the Operational and Administrative activities of the PGC Department of the *NSCDC* i.e Application of license, renewal of license, penalty for late renewal of license etc.
*ARRESTS*
(1) A case of dealing in illegal petroleum products (AGO) Arrested in Niger Cart Warri. Chibuike Anene Male 36yrs, Chukwuka Edobike male 28years. Exhibit Mack Truck with Registration Number AWK-753YZ. Quantity 2400 litres of AGO concealed in a polythene sacks.
(2) A case of illegally dealing in Petroleum Products (AGO) Along Sapele Road. Chinonye Stephen Male 18years motor boy. Exhibit – A Truck with Registration Number ABU-224XA, Rivers. Capacity 45,000 litres of illegally refined AGO
(3) A case of suspected illegal dealing in Petroleum Product (AGO) Diesel Arrested in Oleikpashe River Warri. Patrick Ebiotomere male 14yrs, Destiny Echechiegbe male 15years, Gbubemi Kingsley male 16years, Godfrey Obb male 14years. Exhibit – Ten polythene sacks of AGO concealed in polythene bags.
(4) A case of financial fraud. Offia Harrison -27years male. To the sum of #10,000,000.(Ten million naira). Arrested in Asaba.
(5) On the 17/01/2022 the tactical squad of the Anti-Vandal unit NSCDC Delta State Command raided and destroyed a number of suspected illegally adulterated petroleum products , AGO , depots along Ifiokparo, Ubeji and Jedi junction axis in Warri south LGA and equally recovered some exhibits. Such as a 200hp engine used to propelled a Cotonou wooden boat by the suspects, drums and content, and Pumping machines amongst others.
(6) On the 24/01/2022 at about 0230hours the tactical team of the Anti-Vandal Unit Arrested a 40ft container body truck conveying polythene in sacks suspected to be Adulterated Gas Oil locally called Diesel. Content capacity of each small sack is 25litres. The suspects are: (1) Kabiru Bulama male 32yrs (2) Alli Muhammed male 27 the suspects claimed that the Adulterated products was supplied to them by one Alhaji Musa in Port- Harcourt River State.
