The traditional ruler of Umukwata kingdom, His Royal Majesty(H.R.M.), Enyi Friday Abaja The Ukwata 1 of Umukwata kingdom has commended the son’s and daughter’s of Umukwata kingdom for coming together to witness and celebrate the “ENYI DAY as the community cerebrate the annual IKENGE FESTIVAL”.
Abaja stated this when journalists paid him a visit in his home town at Umukwata, Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State to ascertain the rationale behind the celebration.
According to him, the community celebrate the annual festival to commemorate the part of Ukwata kingdom who is the founder of Umukwata.
HRM added that, the beginning of the year son’s and daughter’s of Umukwata celebrates their founder and call on God almighty for mercy, peace of mind, development and good things to come to the kingdom.
He noted that the people of Umukwata loved him, gathered together to celebrate the “ENYI DAY” with him as the traditional ruler and for the love he has for them, he brought development into the community.
He expressed optimism that the community has not seen anything as greater development still ahead, adding that 15 to 20 years ago he vowed to develop Umukwata community for a better tommorow and transform the community to Mini-AMERICA.
Though, ” our community had witness massive development for the past 15 to 20 years ago and my emergence as UKWATA 1 OF UMUKWATA KINGDOM, the children and adults are very happy with me”.
Abaja advised the good people of Umukwata kingdom to emulate good things, be kind to one another so that God will be kind to them, love your neighbor because the best is yet to come.
He thanked the Chiefs, elders, youths, children, women, and well-wishers who came to embrace the occasion in his palace.
