COMTOA Returns Obi-Nzete As President

Members of the Commercial Motorcycle and Tricycle Operators Association (COMTOA), Delta State has reelected Chief Goddey Obi-Nzete as their president for another four years in office.

COMTOA delegates who unanimously affirmed Chief Obi-Nzete to return as the President at the union headquarters in Asaba, noted that the Obi-Nzete’s administration in the last four years has ushered in peace and prosperity in the union hence the need to return him so as to sustain the tempo.

The delegates drawn from the 25 LGAs of the state described Chief Obi-Nzete as a visionary leader who through his leadership qualities brought positive changes to the body saying the union experienced peace and innovations like giving of scholarship and grants for members.

In a speech, Chief Obi-Nzete expressed gratitude to the state governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for providing the enabling environment for the union to operate, just as he pledged the union’s commitment towards ensuring that the governor finish strong.

While thanking the members of COMTOA for the confidence reposed on him, he assured that his administration will continue to sustain the scholarship programme for members to enable them further their education, grants for their businesses as well as free health care insurance scheme for members.

Nzete advised them to ensure that they have their union identity cards, apron, crash helmets and ensure they have complete papers for their Motorcycles and Tricycles while on the road.

Some of the executive elected to serve with Obi-Nzete were Charles Oghenebrume, Deputy President, Emmanuel Afakpa, Secretary General,
Lucky Chibuogwu, Assistance Secretary,
Prince O.K Miller, Treasure, Augustine Oronimiwho, Financial Secretary, Comr. Ochuko G. Johnson (J.P), P.R.O among others.
