Rt.Hon. Sheriff F.O Oborevwori is the incumbent Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly and a frontline governorship aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in Delta State.
His vision and leadership as a Speaker of the State Assembly has upped service delivery by the House to the people of Delta State. His prudence in financial management endeared him to his colleagues at the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, thus, electing him first as treasurer and currently, Deputy Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria.
Rt.Hon Oborevwori’s avowed leadership capacity as head of the State legislature since May 2017 till date has attracted clamour from Deltans across tribes, languages, religions, North, South and Central senatorial districts in Delta State for elevated service as governor in 2023.
And as a kind hearted and a listening servant-leader, he heeded the call and threw his hat in the battle ring of the Delta State governorship race for 2023.

Rt Hon Oborevwori has received massive endorsements from party faithful and leaders, critical stakeholders, numerous political pressure groups, youths and women groups in the State. His wide acceptance by Deltans has become a torn in the political flesh of some aspirants who are bent in tilting the truth. However, no matter how they try, the truth like light must triumph over forces of darkness.
Rt. Hon. Oborevwori is properly schooled and has the requisite qualification for the office of governor as enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999( as altered).
He obtained his senior secondary school certificate at Oghareki Grammar School, Oghareki in 1999( former Baptist High School, Oghareki). He further obtained a B.SC in political Science from Ambrose Alli university, Ekpoma in 2004 and an M.SC in political Science from Delta State University, Abraka in 2010.
All the above certificates are for the person of Rt. Hon. Sheriff F.O Oborevwori. None has been impugned by the issuing authorities or excised from the person of Rt.Hon. Sheriff F.O Oborevwori.
When he presented himself on 28th April, 2022 for screening by the South- South Governorship Aspirants Screening Committee headed by the Governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency, Senator Duoye Diri, he was given a clean bill of health, cleared and issued Provisional Clearance Certificate.
The drums have started rolling out to herald his emergence as Governor in 2023. His massive acceptance is overwhelming laced with a fever pitch deafening sound.
