The attention of the Campaign Organization of Peter Mrakpor has been drawn to a news report published by an irresponsible online news outfit: Spectator.blogspot, alleging that our principal,Dr Peter Mrakpor SAN, FCArb, FICMC, FCISM, has instituted a legal action against the PDP, INEC, and Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa at a Federal High Court in Abuja, over their plans to hijack the upcoming Delta State PDP Governorship primary’s in favour of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the current Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly.
The said publication also alleged that our principal, Peter Mrakpor, had earlier pulled out of the governorship race in order for him to be settled and also going ahead to allege that, our principal said Gov. Okowa has directed PDP delegates across the 25 local government areas of the State to cast their votes for Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori during the Delta State governorship primaries.
We wish to State here for the avoidance of doubt and in the interest of the gullible public, that those statements did not emanate from our principal, as he will never degenerate to such ridiculous and reprehensible level for the sake of his governorship ambition.
It is also important to state here that, there was no time our Principal pulled out of the Governorship race, as he has no reason to do so, given the boost and wide acceptance his governorship ambition has received across Delta State.
There is no doubt that those behind the said publication are mischief makers, who are not only desperate to destroy the cordial and amiable relationship our Principal enjoys with Gov.Okowa and other stakeholders of the party in the State, but are dead scared of his rising profile and his predictable victory at the Governorship primary’s.
We wish to ask the general public to disregard the said publication, as it is intended to portray our Principal in bad light and cause friction and animosity within our dear Party in the state.
