Delta State Assistant Woman Leader/Central leader of the Peoples Democratic Party Hon Chief Dora Afonughe Sakpaide (JP) has congratulated Speaker of the State House of Assembly on his victory as PDP Governorship candidate of the party in the state.
Hon. Sakpaide who disclosed this while chatting with Journalists in Asaba, the state capital immediately after the state PDP guber primary at the Stephen Keshi stadium said Oborevwori’s victory x-rayed the party’s unity and political manesfesto of MORE Agenda of the flab bearer as well as his general “street credibility” slogan.
Sakpaide a former councillor of the party Okpe Legislative Arm noted that Speaker Oborevwori’s acceptance during his state wide consultations accounted for his massive victory at the polll.
While commending Governor Okowa and other state leaders of the party for ensuring level playing ground for all aspirants in the state, described Oborovwori’s victory for a stronger Delta mantra of the Okowa’s led administration.
“Right for day one when the Governor said the person that will take over from him must be the people’s choice. Governor Okowa, the political Mathematician also pledged to provide a level field for all aspirants. And today, you can see it. fourteen aspirants contested the election and one polled the highest votes. This however demonstrated a visionary leadership who knows how to manage human and resources. Okowa, na the man”

She however urged party leaders and those who lost to close ranks and work in unity to ensure victory of the party at the general elections.
Sakpaide further lauded party delegates across the state for their choice of various candidates that will fly the party’s flag next year general elections across the state.
