Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Communications, Olorogun Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe Esq, has urged women and youth of Ward 6 Polling Unit 13 in Kokori, Ethiope East Local Government Area, to commence mass mobilization of eligible voters for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and her Governorship candidate, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, JP.
Oghenesivbe made the appeal at the meeting of Unit 13 as the new leader, on Sunday June 12, 2022, saying that the former leader and DESOPADEC Commissioner, Okakuro Kent Akigho Okiemute, transferred to Ward 6 Unit 12 Okoriblock after relocating from Okpe Street to his new residence
He said the state governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, recently approved the rehabilitation and tarrying of Okpe and Agbonmiyerin Streets, as well as five other roads within Kokori, adding that the people should work very hard to reciprocate the governor’s kind gesture by improving on past victories recorded in the polling Unit.
The Eacgov described PDP governorship candidate for 2023 election, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, as a reliable and responsible leader who will develop the entire state as encapsulated in his M.O.R.E agenda; Meaningful Development, Opportunity for all Deltans, Realistic Reforms and Enhanced peace and security.
He assured that Ethiope East LGA and Kokori community will benefit greatly from Oborevwori’s administration, which is why more people should be registered in the ongoing voters registration exercise.
“Our brother and former leader of Ward 6 Unit 13, Hon Kent Akigho Okiemute has transferred his voting card to Unit 12. This meeting is to enable me thank you for making me your new leader, commend you for your consistent support for our great party, PDP, and to plan ahead for better results in this unit.
“Gov Okowa and the state Exco recently approved the rehabilitation and tarrying of Okpe Street and others. Work on these roads will start very soon. The best way to appreciate the governor is to achieve huge results in our polling Unit 13.
“We have about 850 registered voters in this Unit, and we must mobilize every eligible voter to vote for all candidates of PDP in 2023.
“I pledge to provide responsible, all inclusive and result oriented leadership as I work with other principal officers of this unit, elders, youth and women,” Oghenesivbe assured.
Chairman of the Unit, Engr James Akpojishere and members of the Unit assured Oghenesivbe of their unwavering support, describing him as a caring and pragmatic leader while commending his efforts for championing the course to push for the approval of the rehabilitation and tarrying of Okpe Street.
Key officers of Ward 6 Unit 13 present at the meeting includes; Hon Engr James Akpojishere, who is also the Secretary of PDP, Ethiope East LGA Chapter, Okakuro Ufuoma Omonefe, Chief Lucky Oteheri, the Youth Leader, Woman Leader, elders and several others.
