STRATEGIC POLITICAL COMMUNICATION AND THE FRED LATIMORE BRAND

Politics is a multifaceted phenomenon that involves a quest for power and influence.
Politics without communication is like having blood without veins and arteries. For a better understanding of politics insociety, there are men and women, gifted in the art of communicating political activities to the people.

Though political communication is dynamic and thus come in various forms, the centre of gravity of effective political communication, is along the borderline and overlap between propaganda and rhetoric. Therefore, It takes a well grounded strategic political communicator to effective disseminate political information based on his understanding of the borderline between propaganda and rhetoric, and how they should be defined effortlessly through strategic political communication.

When Barr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, came into the political stratosphere of Delta State politics from the All Progressives Congress, APC, he came with an unusual brand of strategic political communication that has clearly distinguished him from his contemporaries and thus placed him in class of his own. And in the PDP, he is virtually one of the most visible political communicators in the media space whose wordsmithery is legendary.

Love him or hate him, you can’t deny his capacity to deliver per second, per second.

I read and observed him from a distance with glowing admiration until I had the opportunity to closely work with him and thereafter found out that he is a man whose character speaks integrity, his expertise defines efficiency, and his professionalism in communication has become a roadmap to young upwardly mobile political communicators who still believe that hard work and unwavering loyalty are the only recipe for progression in politics.

For four years he successfully organized strategic political communication workshops to train and retrain media practitioners, political aides, etal, in a bid to ensuring that political information, activities of political leaders and our great party are adequately communicated to the general public. He is a high caliber, competent, resourceful, upright, dedicated and integrity conscious communications manager with excellent proven technical track record. His skills and dexterity to communicate effectively within and through our complex media environment, is legendary to say the least.

This is my take on the Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe brand.
