Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and communication Strategist, Olorogun Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, PhD, has described the former governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, as a God-fearing, detribalized and consummate leader, who doggedly and sincerely supported incumbent governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, from start to finish in the just concluded 2023 governorship election and counting.
Oghenesivbe made the commendation in his goodwill message to Dr Uduaghan on the occasion of his 69th birthday anniversary celebration on Sunday, saying that the elder statesman’s leadership style and sense of humour is worthy of emulation, considering his enviable contributions to the development of Delta State, and to the ruling party, PDP.
He noted that Uduaghan campaigned vigorously round the state with governor Oborevwori and PDP Vice Presidential Candidate, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, CON, during the 2023 general elections, urging all eligible voters in the state to vote PDP and all her candidates.
Oghenesivbe, who was the Spokesperson of Delta PDP Campaign Council, said when the political turbulence was tough and rough, the former governor followed the leading of God, and gave his all to ensure that Delta South Senatorial District; comprising Itsekiri, Isoko and Ijaw nations supported PDP candidates to a large extent.
“I join our governor with street credibility, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, and the good people of Delta State to rejoice with our indefatigable leader and former governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, on this auspicious occasion of his 69th birthday anniversary celebration today October 22.
“Your track record and invaluable contributions to the development of Delta State and our great party, PDP, is worthy of note. You worked so hard during the 2023 generation elections, campaigned vigorously with our governor, Rt Hon Oborevwori and became one of the major heroes of our landslide victory at the polls.
“You are indeed a God-fearing, detribalized, humorous and consummate leader with an amazing humility, good conscience and sound mind.
“My humble prayer for you today and always is that our great and might God, continue to enlarge your coast, grant you good health and longevity now and always, in Jesus’precious name, Amen,” Oghenesivbe said.
