The remains of late Mrs Onwubuifeora Felicia Egbo have been laid to rest in her family compound at Ndobu quarters, Igbodo, in Ika North East local government area.
Her body was committed to mother earth after a funeral service, which featured praise and worship, solemn hymns.
The first Bible reading from Romans 14: 8-9, was taken by a grand daughter of the deceased’s, Miss Favour Ogechi, while the second reading from 1st Corinthians 15: 51-58, was read by another grand daughter, Miss Angel Benson.
In a message entitled: “Where Will You End Your Eternity”?, Pastor Fidelis Nwariebon of Living Messiah Deliverance Mission, Igbodo, reminded humans that “life is a journey that will end when it will end”, which he said was inevitable.
Pastor Nwariebon charged Christians to always be prepared for eternity by living righteous life and positively affecting the lives of others, as death could come knocking at any point in time.
He pointed out that one could only be remembered for his or her good deeds when gone, describing the late Mrs Felicia Egbo as a true believer who showed love and care, not only to her children and family members, but also to all who encountered her directly or indirectly while she was alive.
The casket bearing the deceased was later moved to the graveside where the officiating ministers prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul before lowering it to the grave, followed by the dust to dust rite by the children, grand children and relatives.
In an interview after the interment, the deceased’s first daughter, Mrs Ngozi Okwuchi, the first son, Mr Daniel Egbo and a brother, Apostle Kenneth Chigbogu, paid tributes to their mother and sister, whom they said would be greatly missed and prayed God to grant her soul eternal rest.
Late Mrs Onwubuifeora Felicia Egbo was aged 73 and is survived by five children.
