Integrity Group Honours Gbegbaje As Patron

For his outstanding contribution and unblemished records in the Delta State civil service as well as his selfless service to humanity, Sir Eddy Ogidi-Gbegbaje, has been invested as a patron of Integrity Group of Delta state.

Presenting the award of hunour to the immediate past Permanent Secretary PS, Government House, Asaba, the Chairman and Ambassador of Integrity Group, Dr. Oke Idawene said the award was in recognition of Gbegbaje’s contribution to humanity.

He said; “I have been on air since last week talking about his qualities. We are here as Integrity Group to honour you having served in Delta state civil society in the last 35 years meritoriously.

“We are here to invest you as one of our patrons. I introduced to you a man of unique character. We are here to congratulate you  and to honour you for the outstanding services to our dear state and equally wishing you greater service to humanity. A golden fish does not hide, this honour is for your services to our state. Integrity Group is the face of this government.

“Suffice to note that the Integrity Group is MORE agenda as well as You Matter Charity Foundation ambassadors. We have taken it upon ourselves to promote the activities of this government.

“Integrity group will interface with all the commissioners, head of parastatals and agencies of government in the state towards ensuring that MORE agenda is well publicised.”

Responding, Gbegbaje acknowledged the Convener, whom he described as a great friend saying I recognised all of you both the ones i kwew before and those i am meeting for the first time. This is essence of group activities.

” I thank God you honoured me for my selfless services and it is as a result of love which is the true essence of being. I appreciate Integrity Group, for standing on MORE agenda.

“I urged you to live as your name because Integrity means you must live above board, integrity is a big word we should endeavour to live through to what integrity means which is fairness, equity and justice.

“Let always be guided by what we are. As a member of Integrity Group, we must live and associates with men of honour and belongings to this group, it means you should do things that will reflect the name.

“I thank you for the honour done on me. As well as the formal investiture as a patron. I have heard more about the Integrity Group in the media, talking about the MORE agenda and the You Matter Charity Foundation.

“Thus, we must brace up for the challenges of contributing to good governance especially now that all court cases are over. Now, is the time to work. And that of the first lady, working for the needs of those who suffer from Autism. A brain disorder, we must do more to publicise the activities of the MORE agenda and You Matter Charity Foundation to all the  nook and cranny of Delta state and beyond, that way we have contributed to the service to humanity.”
