The Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Comr Matthew Obukohwo Obriki, who doubled as the National Speaker of Okpe Youth Council worldwide has commended the efforts of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori towards infrastructural, human capital and industrial development across the state stating that it has opened Delta State to more private investment opportunities across the globe.
Speaking with newsmen during an interview, he explained that within the period of one year in office, the Governor has established visible projects that have received commendations from outsiders and indigenes as well.
The developmental strides in all sectors of the state’s economy are so glaring that nobody can deny the fact that Delta State, today, is the development index for Nigerian.
“I have seen these projects myself, it is not because l am an appointee of the Governor, there is no rational behind thinking that these projects doesn’t exist.”
Governor Aide, Comr Obriki described Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori as a huge blessing and pride to the people of Okpe Kingdom, Delta State and Nigeria, and a youth loving Governor and thanked him for the inclusion of youths in his administration while urging the Youths to eschew social vices, capable of causing unrest in the state noting that we have enjoyed absolute peace so far.
Obriki noted that Gov Oborevwori has also made significant contributions to the growth and development of the education sector, especially in the area of the new establishment of Delta State University of Science and Technology, Orerokpe campus to boost human capacity development in an ancient city of Orerokpe and environs, adding that his leadership and clear vision will help in the right direction for optimum performance for the benefits of Deltan students and the society at large.
Permit me to heartily congratulate you, my father, leader, master, principal, mentor and coach on your one year in office as the Executive Governor of Delta State and for the modest successes you have recorded over this period.
