A public hearing on a Bill to amend the Delta State Structure for Signage and Advertisement Agency Law 2015 and other matters connected therewith, holds on Monday, 10th June 2024.
A statement by the Chairman, House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Chukwudi Dafe, says the public hearing scheduled for 12noon, will hold at the Press Center, Delta State Assembly Complex, Okpanam road, Asaba.
The statement reads “This is to inform the public that at the sitting of the State House of Assembly on Tuesday May 7, 2024, the above mentioned Bill was referred to the joint House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and that on Environment, Oil and Gas, for further legislative scrutiny.
“In the light of the above, I respectfully invite stakeholders on the proposed new law, to a Public Hearing on the Bill scheduled for Monday 10th June 2024, at Press Center, Assembly Complex, Asaba by 12 noon prompt.
“All memoranda on the Bill should be enclosed in sealed 25 copies, addressed to the House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and marked for the attention of the Committee Clerk on phone number 08134442246 on or before Friday 7th June, 2024”.
The statement adds that inputs of stakeholders on the Bill would be highly appreciated.
