49 DTHA Staff Tip For Promotion To Next Level Face Sunday Ebireri Led Panel.

Delta State House of Assembly Service Commission, Tuesday, began the second phase of promotion interviews of Staff, as promised by the leadership of the Delta State House of Assembly.

Acting Chairman of the Commission, Mr Sunday Ebirere, while flagging off the exercise at the Commission’s headquarters in Asaba, said forty nine members of staff of the State Legislature that are due for promotion to the next cadre in service have been invited for interviews.

Mr Ebireri explained that in line with the Realistic Reforms of the MORE agenda of the present administration, stagnation in the Commission was over, stressing that it is determined to clear the backlog of promotion arrears.

He disclosed that the ongoing promotion interview was the second set within a very short period, and commended the State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori for the reforms in the State Ciivil Service.

Mr Ebireri said amongst the forty nine members of staff for the promotion interview, 7 are on level 16, aiming to be promoted to level 17, which is the peak of their career in service.

He disclosed that it was the first time of such number to level 17, which made the promotion exercise unique and very important to the Commission.

Besides promotion of staff which is one of the core mandates of the Commission, Mr Ebireri acknowledged progress made in the areas of recruitment, training and discipline of staff.

The Commission’s Chairman paid glowing tributes to the Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Guwor for his massive support and approvals.

Ebireri said the Commission is determined to motivate staff at ensuring that the Delta State House of Assembly is positioned to making people’s oriented laws that would be instrumental to good governance, development and growth in the state.

He enjoined all staff to be responsible, productive and be a role model in the society.

Some staff who spoke commended the State Governor and the Speaker for the prompt promotion exercise, describing it as a good development.

They also thanked the Acting Chairman of the Commission, Mr Sunday Ebirere and other members of the board for a smooth process and encouragement.

They said they are motivated to render quality service in the legislature.
