Delta Speaker Guwor Charges Newly Sworn In Commissioners To Ensure The State Reaches Its Full Potentials.

Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has charged newly sworn in Commissioners and Members of the State Executive Council, to be committed at ensuring that the state reaches its full potential.

Rt Hon Guwor gave the charge in reaction to the successful inauguration of the six newly appointed Commissioners and six Special Advisers, by the State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.

The Speaker who was unavoidably absent at the epoch making ceremony held at the Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba, again congratulated the 12 new top government functionaries for their well-deserved appointments.

Rt Hon Guwor said their selection was a testament to their expertise, experience, and dedication to public service, urging the new appointees to work tirelessly to implement the vision and policies of Governor Oborevwori.

The Speaker in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Nkem Nwaeke, also charged the appointees to prioritize the welfare and development of the people.

He said the MORE agenda of Rt Hon Oborevwori is achievable with determination and the support of all critical stakeholders.

Guwor emphasized on the need for them to foster collaboration and synergy between the state Legislature, other arms of government and themselves.

The Speaker urged the appointees to embrace transparency, accountability, and inclusivity in their decision-making processes and to always engage with stakeholders for the overall interest of the state.

“Once again, I congratulate the new appointees, including Commissioners and Special Advisers, on their successful swearing-in. I charge them to uphold the principles of good governance, integrity, and excellence.

“I look forward for their support to the legislative agenda of the 8th Assembly, and to work with us on our efforts in passing more people-oriented bills for peace and good governance of the state”, Guwor stressed.

The Speaker urged the Commissioners and Special Advisers to remember that their appointments is a call to service, saying that the people expect nothing but the best from them.
