His Excellencies, Governor Ademola Adeleke and Mohammed Umar Bago of Osun and Niger states alongside 14 foreign ambassadors are set to attend the African Cultural Fashion Exhibition and Awards in Abuja.
Amb. Judith Shu’aibu, Chief of Operations, Africulfash and Event Coordinator African Cultural Fashion Awards (ACFA), said in a statement that the two governors and Mrs. Nkeiruka C. Onyejocha, the Minister of Labour State, will received distinguished awards of excellence at the event.
The event which holds on 1st December, 2024 at Maha Marquee Event Centre, Abuja, Nigeria is being organised by Africulfash, an organisation dedicated in promoting and celebrating Nigeria and Africa through fashion, in collaboration with African Artist for peace Initiative (APPI), and powered by RealA limited and Formidable Female.
The ACF Award Categories, according to the statement are; Custodians and Icons of African Heritage, Master of African Fashion Excellence, Best Dressed Governors in the six(6) geo-political zones in Nigeria, Outstanding impact in African Cultural Fashion industry.
Others are; Most stylish Male and Female Celebrities in Africa, Most Stylish male and Female Law and policy makers, Award of Excellence in cross-cultural collaboration, Costume and Accessories Design of the Year, Ethical and Sustainable Fashion Designer of the year and more.
Shu’aibu said this year’s awards ceremony is particularly significant as it coincides with the United Nations agenda for poverty eradication, providing a poignant backdrop for the collective efforts in addressing social and economic challenges through the lens of African fashion.
