A former Secretary to Delta State Government SSG, Chief Simeon Efenudu alongside his brother, Navy Capt. Hermanns Efenudu (Rtd) and Chief John Araka, a veteran journalist and former editor of Daily Times newspaper have been unveiled as the Patrons of Integrity Group.
The former SSG was unveiled as Chairman, Elders Council and Patron of Integrity Group while Hermans was decorated as an Ambassador of the group. Also, Chief Araka was honoured as Chairman, Editorial Board of Integrity Magazine, a quarterly publication of Integrity Group of Delta State.
The investiture which took place at the country home of chief Efenudu at Owhe, Isoko North LGA, was graced by members of Integrity Group across the state.
Unveiling the patrons, the Convener of Integrity Group of Delta state, Dr. Oke Idawene said the ceremony marked a significant milestone in promoting the MORE agenda and You Matter Charity Foundation as well as the goal of the group in ensuring four over four for governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
Idawene noted that the reason for unveiling Chief Efenudu, his brother and Chief Araka was based on their track records of excellence leadership qualities as well as their believe and support for MORE Agenda of governor Oborevwori.
“Integrity Group of Delta state is officially unveiling the leaders to take up the mountle of leadership in project four over four for governor Sheriff Oborevwori second term of office. It is to send a clear message that the Isoko Nation has endorsed Oborevwori for second term.” Idawene stated.
In a remark, the former SSG who went memory lane, recalled the efforts and sacrifices made by pioneer staff upon creation of Delta State in 1991 even as he commended governor Oborevwori for appointing him member of Delta State Elders Council.
According to him, “Our task is to make sure governor Oborevwori succeeds in his first term which he is already doing, and to work collectively with Integrity Group of Delta State to ensure the governor get re-elected in 2027. The Isoko Nation is pleased with Oborevwori.”
He noted that since he left service Integrity Group was the first group that came to honour him and made him to get involved in politics back fully.
On his part, Chief Araka said, “I feel honoured for this recognition, as a communication expert, the best thing to do is to market a good product. Oborevwori is a transformational leader. He is good at infrastructure and human capital development. We will sell him to the world.
“Go to Warri in one hundred years to come Oborevwori name will be mentioned. Look at the road from Ugheli to Asaba you will agree with me. Isoko people are happy with Oborevwori.” Araka noted.
Similarly, the retired Navy Capt. Efenudu pointed; “We are Warri boys and Sheriff is a Warri boy too, he is a genuine man. He will rule for second term. He speaks from his heart.”
He thanked Integrity Group of Delta State for their efforts in promoting the governor good work promising to work collectively with the group in ensuring governor Oborevwori succeed.
