Former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Peter Onwusanya, has commended Integrity Group of Delta State for promoting the MORE agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and You Matter Charity Foundation of the wife of governor, Dame Tobore Oborevwori.
Onwusanya who made the commendation shortly after being unveiled as the Patron of the Integrity Group in Asaba said Oborevwori’s good leadership style has made it imperative for all Deltans to unite in support of his administration.
He said he was proud to identify with the Integrity Group whose sole aim was to promote programmes and policies of governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration as encapsulated on the MORE agenda saying he was prepared to join hands with Integrity Group to unite the PDP members across the state.
“We will ensure that all faction of PDP in Oshimili South LGA is united for the sake of our governor. From now on we will march together for Sheriff project. We have common agenda which is Sheriff project and by 18th December, 2024 at Integrity Group Summit we will unveil the agenda.”
He urged the people to be committed saying politics is a tough game full of intrigues only meant for those that are courageous and determined.
Earlier, Dr. Oke Idawene, Convener of Integrity Group, who reiterated the resolve of the group in promoting the MORE agenda and You Matter Charity Foundation said the unveiling of Onwusanya as a Patron signifies a milestone in the group’s mission and vision for Oborevwori’s project.
“Onwusanya is a big masquerade in the house. Today’s event is an official gazette for the former Speaker to drive Oborevwori’s project under the umbrella of Integrity Group. Coming together under Integrity Group is a blessing for the state. It is a journey to reset the politics of Delta.”
Idawene said he was proud to identify and to promote Oborevwori’s vision for the state noting that the governor is the grand Patron of Integrity Group.
“By 18th of December this year, Integrity Group will hold a summit where project four over four for governor Sheriff Oborevwori will be unveiled. Integrity Group structures have been constituted in all the 25 LGAs moving to the ward level and by God grace we will complete the ward structures very soon. Oborevwori’s project is our project which we are truly committed. Idawene stated.
The event was graced by members of Integrity Group across the state as well as Onwusanya Support Group in Delta North senatorial district.
