Delta Assembly Service Commission Begins Another Round Of Training, **Pledges Optimal Service Delivery To State Legislature

Delta State House of Assembly Service Commission has reaffirmed commitment for continuous synergy with the State Legislature in promoting the MORE Agenda of Governor Oborevwori’s led administration.

Chairman of the Commission, Mr Sunday Ebireri gave the assurance at the opening ceremony of a two days training for Board members and Management of the Delta State House of Assembly Commission in Asaba the State capital.

Declaring the programme open, Mr Ebireri said the purpose of the training is to ensure that everyone in the Commission leave up to their responsibility in discharge of their duties in line with the 8th Legislative Agenda of the Delta State House of Assembly which is also in sync with the MORE Agenda of the State government.

Speaking on the theme “Building An Efficient and Effective Delta State House of Assembly Service Commission Team To Support The Dynamic 8th Assembly”, the chairman of the Commission stressed that there was need to build a formidable team that will meet the demands as well as strengthen the daily operations of the State Legislature.

Mr Ebireri thanked the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor for graciously approving training and retraining of the parliamentary workers saying it will build capacity of Management and Staff of the Commission.

He said: “One of our duty is to see that staff of the Commission are abreast with up to date information on the smooth running of parliamentary activities through training and retraining.

“We are ready to build a team that will work in partnership with our dynamic 8th Assembly because as you know, the 8th Assembly under the leadership of the Speaker, Rt Hon Emomotimi Guwor is ready to synergize with the Executive to actualize it’s MORE Agenda and we are grateful to His Excellency, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the Speaker for always making sure that staff undergo training in due time” Ebireri stated

On his part, Secretary to the Commission Bar. Austine Uwasike and other participants who spoke, expressed optimism that the training will further sharpen their skills and technical know- how as they work together with the State Lawmakers in the lawmaking processes.

They said as management Staff of the Delta State House of Assembly Service Commission, they will continue to do their best to ensure that the goal of the Legislative arm in partnership with the State government is achieved in the interest of Deltans.

“We are here to cross pollinate ideas in this training so to help us build a team of management Staff of the Delta State House of Assembly Service Commission in carrying our duties to the State Legislature and the overall good of Deltans”. Uwasike said.

The training is expected to feature several Lectures, syndicate sessions and other side attractions.
