Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has described the “Governor of the Year” award bestowed on His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori by Thisday Newspaper, as a reward for hard work and diligence in public service.
Guwor stated that the award did not come as a surprise, noting that the one year and eight months administrative ingenuity of Rt Hon Oborevwori as head of government in Delta State has been very impactful and impressive.
Speaker, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, commended the management of Thisday-Arise Media Group for identifying the many positive ethos in the leadership of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in Delta State.
Rt Hon Guwor said the Governor has shown so much capacity and competence in governance, stressing that the award was well merited as a gold fish has no hiding place.
The Speaker on behalf of the Delta State House of Assembly, Constituents of Warri South West, and political associates, congratulated the Governor for the honour and pledged the support of the State Legislature in the implementation of the MORE agenda that he promised Deltans.
