Delta Pilgrims airborne to Israel, Jordan March 1, Enroute Port Harcourt International Airport …As Oghenesivbe Heads Media Team To The Holy Land

Team Delta 2024 Pilgrims to the Holy Land of Israel and Jordan shall be airlifted from Port Harcourt International Airport on Saturday March 1, 2025.

The 250 pilgrims were carefully selected from interdenominational christian organisations, jointly sponsored by both federal and Delta State governments for spiritual revival, and to pray for the wellbeing, national security and socioeconomic prosperity of Nigeria, and Nigerians.

A statement on Friday by the Executive Secretary of Delta State Christian pilgrims Welfare Board, Very Rev Fr Christopher Ekabo, said the state governor, Dr (Elder) Sheriff Oborevwori, has fulfilled all financial obligations to ensure that Team Delta is airlifted to the Holy Land of Israel and Jordan, and that all arrangements have been concluded by the Board for a memorable pilgrimage.

The Board’s Executive Secretary advised all pilgrims to be armed with their valid international Passports, relevant travel documents, and Yellow Card which can be obtained from Port Services office at the Federal Secretariat along Okpanam Road in Asaba.

Rev Fr. Ekabo further disclosed that the Director General of Delta State Orientation and Communications Bureau, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe Esq, has been appointed as the Head of Media for the 2024 pilgrimage, noting that his choice was as a result of the DG’s enviable track record as a top class media manager, and communication impresario.

He said Oghenesivbe shall be assisted by Mr Harry Owoso of Delta Broadcasting Service, to publicize all activities of Team Delta while in the Holy Land via multifaceted communication channels in Nigeria and across the globe, so as to enable Deltans and Nigerians have a good knowledge of the various tourists attractions and brief historical perspectives back home in Delta.

Rev Fr Christopher Ekabo thanked governor Oborevwori for his visionary leadership and awesome accomplishments in all sectors of the state economy, urging christians in Delta State to continue to support and pray for the governor, his family and those in authority in the state.

“Team Delta 2024 Pilgrims to the Holy Land of Israel and Jordan shall be airborne enroute Port Harcourt International Airport on March 1, 2025.

“Our indifatigable governor, Dr (Elder) Sheriff Oborevwori, is expected to address all 250 pilgrims and officials on Saturday March 1, before departing Asaba for Port Harcourt International Airport where the team shall be airlifted to Jordan.

“Delta State and the federal government provided all necessary financial assistance and support for the Holy pilgrimage. We thank President Bola Tinubu and governor Oborevwori for their timely support. We are good to go, to the Glory of God.

“All pilgrims are strongly advised to be armed with their valid international Passport, other relevant travel documents, and Yellow Card which can be obtained from Port Services office at the Federal Secretariat along Okpanam Road in Asaba.

“Am pleased to also add that the Director General, Delta State Orientation and Communications Bureau, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe Esq, shall head the state media team to the Holy Land of Israel and Jordan.

“Dr Oghenesivbe’s choice was based on his enviable track record as a professional media manager and communication strategist par excellence. He shall be assisted by Mr Harry Owoso of Delta Broadcasting Service. Mr Austin Azu of News Central Television is also with us.

“The media team is expected to update Deltans on a daily basis about the activities of Team Delta via multifaceted communication channels back home and across the globe,” Rev Fr. Ekabo said.
