Delta Speaker Guwor Lauds His Chief Press Secretary Nkem For Hard-work, Dedication And Diligence To Duties.

Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor has commended his Chief Press Secretary CPS, Mr Nkem Nwaeke for his hard-work, dedication and diligence to duties.

The Speaker gave the commendation on Friday, during the Press Briefing at the State Assembly Complex in Asaba, organized by the House to flag off activities to celebrate the second anniversary of the 8th Assembly.

Guwor who presented the scorecard and achievements of the 8th Assembly before a large gathering of Journalists from different media outlets, acknowledged the commitment of his CPS to assigned responsibilities.

He described Mr Nwaeke as a wonderful ally who discharges his duties diligently, saying that his great support to the office of the Speaker and by extension the Delta State House of Assembly was commendable.

“To my Chief Press Secretary, Mr Nkem Nwaeke, you have been a wonderful ally and I want to commend you for your hard-work and dedication to assigned duties.

“It’s been great having you around and working with you as my CPS. I encourage you to keep up the good work”, Guwor said.

The Speaker lauded journalists in the state, especially those covering the Assembly, for the media visibility of the activities of the 8th Assembly.

Rt Hon Guwor assured that as partners in progress, the house will continue to work with media practitioners in ensuring that Deltans get the best of the State legislature.

“Gentlemen of the Press, I cannot thank the media enough for always giving visibility to the activities of the house through the network of your various medium.

“Debates, resolutions, and proceedings of the house are easily accessible by our constituents through your channels. You make our work easy and we must continue to appreciate you for the supports”, the Speaker stated.

Earlier, Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Delta State Council, Comrade Churchill Oyovwe commended the Speaker, Rt Hon Emomotimi Guwor and the leadership of the house for the legislative vibrancy as well as maintaining an open door policy with the Press thereby having a mutual relationship with media practitioners.

Comrade Oyovwe also commended the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Mr Nkem Nwaeke for his team spirit with colleagues and for maintaining high standards, saying “from my privileged position, I know he work round the clock in ensuring effective reportage of the Speaker and the house”.

The NUJ Chairman. however solicited for enhanced welfare package for Press team covering the State Assembly.
