Delta Assembly Service Commission Begins 2025 Second Session Of Staff promotion Exercise ****Calls For More Commitment Of Staff

In line with the MORE agenda of the Delta State Government, the State House of Assembly Service Commission, has commenced the second session of the 2025 staff promoting exercise, with a call on the workforce to be committed to productivity.

Executive Chairman of the Commission, Mr Sunday Ebireri, while flagging off the exercise at the Commission’s Office Complex in Asaba, said stagnation of staff was now a thing of the past in the Commission.

Mr Ebireri stated that staff between salary grade level 8 and 16 have been shortlisted for the promotion interview, adding that the Commission had maintained prompt promotion of staff as at when due.

The Executive Chairman explained that promotion of staff is one of the key functions of the Commission, promising that the Commission will continue to groomed bureaucrats to support the legislature for efficient and effective lawmaking in the state.

Mr Ebireri thanked the State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and the Speaker of the Delta State Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Guwor, for approving and funding the promotion exercise.

He emphasized that the development will further enhanced staff moral and motivate them to be more proactive and productive.

Mr Ebireri appealed to the Commission’s workforce to reciprocate government’s continued good disposition towards workers in the state, by providing quality services in their assigned duties.

For his part, the Secretary of the Commission, Barr, Austin Uwasike, said promotion is key to motivating staff for efficient service delivery and commended the approval for second trench of the exercise this year.

Uwasike urged those shortlisted for the promotion not to rest in their oars, but to continue to put in their best in compliance with the Servicom policy of the state government.

He emphasized that the Oborevwori’s administration has done so much in human capital development, especially in the area of training and retraining of staff aimed to achieving optimal service delivery.

The Secretary charged all to be alive to their responsibilities, adding that the Commission is determined never to delay in promoting staff due for promotion.

Some of the staff participating in the promotion exercise, paid glowing tributes to the Governor, the Speaker and the Chairman and members of the Assembly Service Commission for fulfilling promises made to staff.

They promised to keep the flag flying by putting in their best at all times.
