The All Progressive Congress, APC stakeholders in Tuomo Ward 3, Burutu local government area of Delta State, has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the Member Representing Burutu 11 Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon (Chief) Pereotu Oloye, for reelection in 2027.
The motion for the endorsement was moved by a National leader of the party and former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsday Orubebe, CON, seconded by the Prime Minister of Tuomo Kingdom, High Chief (Dr) Mike Loyibo, and unanimously adopted.
The exercise was conducted by Chief Julius Takeme, Chairman, Burutu Local Government Council, during the APC Unity meeting in Ward 3, held in Tuomo town, Burutu local government area.
Elder Orubebe who served as the Director General, APC Governorship Campaign Organization for Ovie Omo-Agege in the 2023 gubernatorial contest in Delta State, said the trio of President Tinubu, Governor Oborevwori and Hon Oloye, have shown capacity and efficiency in their respective offices and should be supported and rewarded with another term in office.
He described the loud ovation that greeted his motion as a show of solidarity for hard work and diligence in service and reaffirmed the people’s commitment to good governance at all levels.
Other stakeholders who spoke at the unity meeting, said the endorsement of the trio of President Tinubu, Governor Oborevwori and Hon Oloye was a welcome development and a positive step towards advancing democratic governance and prosperity in the locality.
In his reaction, Hon Oloye expressed gratitude to the APC leaders, elders and supporters in Tuomo Ward 3 for the confidence reposed on the President, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and himself, that necessitated their endorsement for another term in office.
Hon Oloye who is the Chairman, Assembly Committee on Physical Planning and Urban Renewal, assured the people of better days ahead as the “Renewed Hope for More” agenda of Mr President and Governor Oborevwori, focuses on improving quality of living and infrastructural development in all parts of the state, no matter how remote.
The unity meeting also had in attendance notable APC leaders in Tuomo Ward 3, including Chief Ekere-amame Enieketein, Dr Ekenwan Akwagbe, Chief Selekeowei Oloye, Hon Togoland Oruebi, Hon Kennedy Orubebe, Chief Torugbene Oloye, amongst others.
Besides Chief Julius Takeme, Chairman of Burutu Local Government Council, some friends and political associates were also present at the meeting.
They include, Chief Kinsley Kuku, former Presidential Amnesty boss; High Chief Promise Lawuru, APC leader in Warri North, Dr. E. Agbeotu, former member of the House of Representatives; and Chief Robert Afuruku, Director General of Peres Oloye Campaign Organization.
